Common Questions
How quickly can in-home care services begin?
In most cases, we can arrange for care to start within 24 to 48 hours. If you have an emergency or immediate need, we will do everything possible to expedite the process and provide care on the exact same day.
Are your caregivers insured, bonded, and trained?
Yes. Your peace of mind is our top priority. Every caregiver undergoes a rigorous background check, is fully insured and bonded, and receives continuous professional training to meet our high standards of care.
Can we meet the caregiver before services begin?
Yes, absolutely. We believe chemistry is essential. We will arrange a "meet and greet" with the caregiver we feel is the best match for your loved one so you can ensure you are entirely comfortable before care starts.
Do I have to commit to a long-term contract?
Not at all. We believe in providing care because you need and want it, not because you are locked into a restrictive contract. Our agreements are flexible, allowing you to adjust or cancel services with reasonable notice.
How do you match a caregiver to my loved one?
Our Director of Care conducts an in-depth consultation to understand your loved one's clinical needs, personality, hobbies, and preferences. We then select a caregiver who possesses the right skills and a highly compatible personality.
Can we change our care schedule if our needs change?
Absolutely. We understand that health conditions and family schedules can be unpredictable. Our care plans are highly adaptable, and you can easily increase, decrease, or change your scheduled hours by contacting our office.
Do your caregivers drive? Can they take my parent to appointments?
Yes, many of our caregivers have valid licenses and clean driving records. They can provide transportation to medical appointments, the grocery store, hair salon, or social outings. We can use the client's car or the caregiver's vehicle.
What happens if our regular caregiver is sick or on vacation?
Continuity of care is crucial to us. If your regular caregiver is unavailable, our care coordinators will promptly arrange for a fully briefed, qualified substitute caregiver to ensure there is absolutely no disruption in your loved one's routine.
Do you provide care for individuals residing in assisted living facilities?
Yes. Sometimes a facility simply doesn't have the staff to provide the one-on-one attention your loved one requires. Our caregivers can provide supplemental "top-up" care, companionship, and safety monitoring in nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
How does billing and payment work?
We bill on a regular cycle (usually bi-weekly) and provide transparent, detailed invoices showing exactly what hours were worked. We accept major credit cards, e-transfers, and can help you understand if your long-term care insurance covers our services.
Are your services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?
Yes. We provide care 365 days a year. Whether you need a caregiver for just a few hours a week, overnight monitoring, or round-the-clock 24/7 support, our team is always available.
